Senior Photoshoot Tips

Stephanie Stephenson

Senior photos are such a huge part of your senior year checklist. They let you show off your true self and who you have become. It's a snapshot of what you were before you ventured off into the world for the first time. It's also a celebration of all your hard work and accomplishments. My number one recommendation is to bring your passion to your photoshoot. If you love ballet bring your pointe shoes. If you played football for years bring your jersey and a football.

Here are some tips for making your senior photo session really show your true self:

  1. Add an outfit that is sentimental. It could be a sports or music uniform, a dance leotard, a grandmothers necklace, etc.

  2. Add props. This could be a musical instrument, a special car, sports equipment or even accessories like hats.

  3. Pick a location that feels special to you. Do you enjoy spending free time at the beach or walking around the city? Do you like that boho feel of tall grass and wildflowers? Whatever speaks to your personality or somewhere you spend a lot of time.

  4. Bring your biggest cheerleaders. Don't come alone. Bring your mom, dad or siblings. Bring your best friend. Anyone you think that will cheer you on and help you relax and have fun.

Senior photos should be enjoyable. Just remember to bring your true self to the session and let me guide you the rest of the way for photos that will be treasured for a lifetime.
