There’s something incredibly special about photographing a family that spans generations. During this fall mini, I had the absolute joy of capturing this family during their extended family session, and let me tell you—it was everything I love about this season and so much more.

A Picture-Perfect Fall Afternoon

The sun peeked through the golden trees just enough to give us that dreamy, warm light every photographer hopes for. We met in Chesapeake, VA where the leaves had just started turning beautiful shades - nature’s own backdrop. The whole crew showed up in perfectly coordinated autumn tones—greens, corduroy and cozy neutrals that fit the season like a glove.

The Power of Generations

One of my favorite parts of photographing extended families is watching the connections between generations. Watching grandparents faces light up as they see the perfect moment. Capturing the sweet laughter between them all. It's always such a pleasusre working with extended families.
